The United States has assured the government of continuing political and humanitarian support to solve the Rohingya crisis. The Bangladesh Foreign Secretary said in Washington DC on Friday. In a meeting with Shahidul Haque, the US president's deputy Lisa Curtis gave assurance. He is also the Senior Director of National Security Council South and Central Asia at the White House. The Bangladesh Embassy in Washington said this information on Sunday.

 It is also said that at the meeting, Lisa Curtis said that President Donald Trump has deeply praised Bangladesh for providing shelter to more than 10 million Rohingya who have been expelled from Myanmar. At the request of the Foreign Secretary of Curtis, various aspects of the US Indo-Pacific Strategy also explained the details in the meeting.

After meeting with Curtis, the Bangladesh Foreign Secretary met with US State Department Deputy Assistant Minister Alice Wells on the South and Central Asia Affairs Bureau. During this time, Wells said that the US Secretary of State Rex Tyleran was fully aware of the Rohingya issue. He praised Bangladesh for providing shelter to this population.
 Apart from this, they discussed various aspects of bilateral, regional and international security.The Foreign Secretary met with the US Secretary of State Mark Storla, the Assistant Secretary of State for Population, Refugees and Immigration Affairs. He congratulated the United States for his strong support for facing the Rohingya crisis. And Mark Storla said the US humanitarian assistance for Rohingyas will continue.
