Khaleda Zia's bail application in Sunday's verdict

Zia Orphanage Trust case: Prosecutor BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's bail plea has been reserved for Sunday's hearing in the High Court's work list.
The Supreme Court website on Saturday found that the bail application of Khaleda Zia, comprising High Court Justice Minayetur Rahim and Justice Shahidul Karim, is included in the order of 36 of the daily work schedule of the concerned bench. Meanwhile, security has been strengthened in the High Court on bail hearing. The hearing on the appeal and bail application will begin at 2pm.
Khaleda Zia was sentenced to five years' rigorous imprisonment on February 8 in Dhaka's Special Judge Court-5 Zia Orphanage Trust case. Five people, including Senior Vice Chairman Tarique Rahman, were sentenced to 10 years rigorous imprisonment in the same case. They were fined Tk 20 million and 71 thousand rupees.
The High Court acquitted Khaleda Zia's appeal on Thursday for hearing on the verdict. Withdrawal also means the money paused. Meanwhile, the High Court has fixed the date for hearing on Khaleda's bail application.
Earlier on February 22, the High Court took Khaleda Zia's plea for hearing in the Zia Orphanage Trust case against the judge's verdict. Later on the court fixed next Sunday for hearing on bail petition of Khaleda Zia.

Later, Khaleda Zia's lawyer panel member Sagir Hossain Leon said that during the hearings of the plea for Khaleda Zia, we applied for her bail. The application is 880 pages. It contains 48 paragraphs and 32 arguments.
